Approve your online purchases on your App
Ready to checkout your shopping cart – approve your online purchases on your App
Step 1 of 5
Once you have completed your online purchase, you will be prompted to approve your card payment. The message will display the transaction amount, merchant details, and the time of transaction attempt.
Tap on Confirm, for the payment confirmation to be sent to your phone. Then tap on the push notification to view and approve your payment.
Note:
If you received a push notification to authorise a card payment which was not initiated by you, you need to contact the bank immediately to report the fraudulent attempt to use your card.
Step 2 of 5
You will receive a push notification message from your Standard Bank App to approve or decline the transaction.
Let's select YES to approve this transaction.
Step 3 of 5
Next, you will need to enter your Standard Bank App login credentials when prompted to authorise this transaction.
Note
Your sign-in method could be either a passcode or your biometric login (fingerprint or face recognition).
Step 4 of 5
All done!
You will see a success message confirming your authorisation of the transaction.
Step 5 of 5
Finally, return to the website to view the merchant’s confirmation of your online payment, and to continue shopping.
